Cost Accounting Analyst 1 CR

Education:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related.

Experience:

• At least 2 year of experience in accounting / costing roles.

Cost Accounting

• Support with updating and maintaining the standard costs for the Costa Rica site in all platforms as required (Oracle, Hyperion, etc.)
• Help in the preparation of weekly reports for staff meetings on current Manufacturing - Absorption Variances results (COGS and G&A) and the forecast for the rest of the month.
• Help in the finance auditing for the cycle count process performed by Warehouse team its variance reporting and reconciliation of counting process. Active participation in the physical inventory audits.
• Support in the preparation and analysis of inventory reconciliations, turns and KPI’s related.
• Participates in month-end close process as necessary: journal entries, analysis of information and variances and preparation of reports as necessary.
• Help with gathering information, prepares, and analyze material’s variances classified as Purchase Price Variance (PPV), MUV/WOV, scrap and period cost variances (discards, samples, obsolete, slow movement).
• Assists with the preparation of monthly variances report.
• Provides support to the Cost Accounting Specialist, in the budgeting and forecasting process by ensuring compliance with deadlines and targets and provides support in the analysis of the information to upper management including Corporate Stakeholders.
• Prepares proper settings of new items in Oracle IMCN’s (item master change notification) meeting with departmental targets defined (Cost of the item, accounts, cost source)
• Any other tasks related to the role as needed.

Skills, Specialized Knowledge:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including lookup and pivot tables.
• Computer skills on Microsoft Office with desirable understanding and experience with ORACLE Platform and ESSbase / Hyperion, Power BI.
• Ability to work with multi-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of intermediate accounting concepts and analytical skills.
• Intermediate /Basic English skills.
