Senior Director, Logistics
Hologic is a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of premium diagnostic products, medical imaging systems, and surgical products dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of women throughout the World. Hologic is a leader in ten areas of women’s health, including mammography and breast biopsy; radiation treatment for early-stage breast cancer; breast MRI; cervical cancer screening; treatment of menorrhagia; permanent contraception; osteoporosis assessment; preterm birth risk assessment; mini C-arms for extremity imaging; as well as molecular diagnostic products, including HPV testing and reagents for a variety of DNA analysis applications. Our core business units are focused on breast health, diagnostics, GYN surgical, and skeletal health.
As our Senior Director of Logistics, you will lead and transform Hologic's warehousing and distribution operations across the United States. Supporting approximately $2.5 billion in revenue, this strategic role involves overseeing a network of major warehouses and a dedicated team to ensure efficient and reliable product delivery to our customers. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, strategic transformation, and stakeholder engagement to elevate our logistics capabilities.
This role will be based in one of our offices with major operations: Marlborough, Massachusetts, Newark, Delaware, or San Diego, California
What to Expect
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee warehousing and distribution operations, including five major warehouses (both owned and 3PL facilities) across the US.
- Manage a team of 40-50 employees, comprising both white-collar professionals and blue-collar warehouse operators.
- Ensure efficient execution of order fulfillment, inventory management, and delivery processes to meet customer expectations.
Strategic Transformation:
- Lead the transformation of logistics operations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
- Drive initiatives to adopt best practices and innovative solutions in supply chain management.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with supply chain leaders to integrate logistics operations into the broader supply chain strategy seamlessly.
- Act as a key liaison between logistics operations and other business functions, fostering collaboration and alignment.
Performance Management:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimization.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in logistics and distribution operations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics activities, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
What We Expect
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior logistics or supply chain leadership role, preferably within the healthcare or medical technology industry.
- Strong track record of leading large-scale logistics operations and driving transformational change.
Skills:
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with 3PL and 4PL models, with a nuanced understanding of their application in different markets.
What We Offer:
The annualized base salary range for this role will be $175,000 to $250,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
