Fall Co-op, Internal Audit

Please note this role is a Fall Co-op with an anticipated start date of early September and will continue through the end of the year.

Responsibilities:

As an Internal Audit Co-op, you will engage in various activities, including:

Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX) Testing:

• Attend meetings with Process Owners and management.
• Assist in updating SOX test matrices.
• Assist in performing compliance tests in areas such as Financial Reporting, Revenue, Receivables, Inventory, Purchasing, Payables, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Human Resources.
• Complete workpapers under the direction of Internal Audit leadership.

Financial and Operational Audit Assignments:

• Assist in reviewing and testing policies, procedures, and controls to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to draft audit reports with recommendations.

IT Application Control Testing:

• Assist in conducting interviews and meetings with IT and process owners.
• Update workpapers and perform assigned compliance tests under the direction of Internal Audit leadership.

Travel and Entertainment (T&E) Expense Compliance:

• Assist in testing T&E expenses against the Corporate T&E policy.
• Assist in conducting T&E investigations as needed.
• Support continuous monitoring and special investigations related to T&E.

Location: Based in Marlboro, MA or San Diego CA

Education:  A graduate student pursuing a master’s level degree or a third or fourth year college student pursuing a degree in Business Administration; Accounting, Information Technology, Business Analytics major preferred
 
Experience: Current student or recent graduate.  Meaningful internship or co-op experience a plus but not required.
 

Qualifications:

• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills that will enable effective interaction with all levels of employees, management and departments within the company
• Excellent analytical skills and comfortable in working with complex data, processes and systems to review and evaluate controls
• Proficient in Microsoft business applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Oracle system experience a plus.
